Rem Sari, singing teacher in Brussels.
I learned to sing through practice, improvisation and listening directly to my own voice. Today I help each student make the same discovery through the REM Method.
A method born in jam sessions.
I taught myself to sing by joining jam sessions. Stage monitors let me hear my voice while I sang. Through repeated practice and observation, I learned how to adjust my voice for more pitch accuracy and ease.
Improvisation was decisive. Without a melody or original singer to imitate, I could begin with my own voice, try new sounds and learn directly from what I heard.
When I shared this way of working, I saw that it helped other singers too. That is how I began teaching. Working with students then helped me create new exercises and refine the method over the years.

Get you singing and help you hear yourself.
I accompany you on piano, listen to what your voice is doing and suggest one adjustment at a time. Recordings let you hear the effect directly and develop your own perception.
- Introduce improvisation through a simple technique
- Adapt the pace for beginners, vocal tension and advanced singers
- Work on breath, mixed voice, registers and vocal colours
- Give you tools to practise independently between lessons
From a vocal idea to a song or recording.
An advanced student may simply sing and improvise for an hour with my piano accompaniment. If you want to go further, my production work can also support a composition, arrangement or vocal recording.
You choose this direction only when it serves your project.
